Barjons has a small, intimate gallery that hosts solo and multiple artists shows during the ArtWalk season amid its regular inventory of books and gift items. Spirituality, tarot, women’s health, magic and coloring books are among items offered.
Summer ArtWalk 2017 features Billings artists, James Seward and Mana Lesman. Seward spent time in Japan as a young boy and those experiences have inspired his art. His watercolors of people and nature often invoke 18th century Japanese prints. Over the last three decades, Lesman has painted introspective oils for in a genre she calls ‘Graphic Surrealism’. Her works explore historic, cultural and spiritual themes.
