Billings First Congregational Church UCC 310 N. 27th Street presents a rare showing of work by Samuel Warshaw (1891-1954) during the April 5 ArtWalk. Warshaw immigrated to American with his parents when he was two months old. He lived his life in New York City where he was a prominent scenic artist on Broadway. The Ringling Bros. Barnum and Bailey Circus commissioned him to do a 30′ tall painting of Franklin Delano Roosevelt (shown), the largest FDR portrait ever done. He seldom exhibited his private collection of paintings.
