Sketch and fiber artist Rúhíyyih Olsen is the guest of Global Village at the October ArtWalk. Her exhibit, “Garden Stories,” includes whimsical drawings from her home and garden, full of “playful children and cats.” Olsen believes her art is a means to understanding the “magic of the life cycles of growing things.”
Global Village hosts smaller, rotating exhibits by artists and education groups during ArtWalk. As a 501(c)(3) organization, it sells handmade items from third world countries to foster financial independence for men and women.
