Yellowstone Art Museum (YAM) is the region’s leading and largest art museum dedicated to contemporary art. ArtWalk events at YAM begin at 4 p.m.; Collector’s Corner artists attend to discuss and highlight their new work available for purchase. Free admission and parking, a cash bar, music and light hors d’oeuvres to welcome visitors. New YAM members get their first drink free.
“Archaea: Rosane Volvan O’Conor,” inspired by biome in Yellowstone National Park, closes August 6. “Earth to Earth: Sediment to Sentiment,” in the Murdock Gallery, features work by German artist, Anselm Kiefer. “Modernist Intersections: The Tia Collection” is drawn from a private collection of contemporary works by Cy Twombly, Andy Warhol, Bill Schenck and others.
