Global Village, 2815 2nd Avenue North, is featuring the detailed and colorful mosaics of Barbara Bryan and Fall to Pieces Mosaics for the December ArtWalk. Barb makes 3-D picassiette mosaics using broken dishes and other found and scrap materials, including beads, tiles, ball chain, stained glass, knickknacks, and metals. She makes garden stakes, themed mirrors, paperweights, and wall art, the latter including sunflower pictures and whimsical hands, heads, hearts, birds, and animal figurines. She also mosaics intricate flower patterns on rocks from the Yellowstone River.
Global Village is a nonprofit dedicated to the support of the world’s low income artisans and farmers through the operation of a Fair Trade retail store and educational activities that promote the values of Fair Trade, tolerance, and cultural appreciation.
