Global Village, 2815 2nd Avenue North is featuring Montana artist Betina Johnson for the April ArtWalk
Betina utilizes a mixture of mediums including acrylics, oil pastels, repurposed ephemera and a variety of inks. The layering of these materials create texture and depth. Her art is inspired by the immediate world and her past heritage of growing up in Montana.
Betina says “My work is an intuitive process with a personal attachment to each piece. Painting bright colors and whimsical renderings inspires a hope that the viewer will feel my passion for life and art. Finding balance, mindfulness and creativity is part of my journey.”
Global Village is a nonprofit dedicated to the support of the world’s low income artisans and farmers through the operation of a Fair Trade retail store and educational activities that promote the values of Fair Trade, tolerance, and cultural appreciation. We bring local access to global impact by caring items handmade by artisans, in developing areas of the world, who working their way out of poverty.
